Planning an Event: Holiday style
Ok, time to plan some holiday parties with your friends, but you are so busy that you just don’t have the time. Well, help is here…..
1. If you have a large enough home, invite all of your friends for a one great party. Let them invite their friends as well.
(wow, but that seems like it’s going to be a lot of work…. here’s help)
2. prepare a menu with interesting choices of dishes
3. give every guest a choice of food/dish to bring
4. BYOW/B have them bring their own wine of beer
5. you supply soft drinks and water
6. have an eye catching center piece that everyone can take a section/piece home
Stick large lollypops with holiday festive decorations in a bowl of individually wrapped mint candies. Or, individually wrapped large chocolate covered fortune cookies with a different fortune in each with your special thought. Or, make cones filled with nuts, candies, popcorn with a clever quote on the little sticker (to hold the cone together).
Higher a cleaning crew to clean your home the day of your party. Then, depending on the size of your group, higher out a couple of college kids to help the flow of your party. They can replenish the food dishes, pour the wine, beer, soft drinks. They can also, keep the kitchen clean and you free to mingle with your friends and enjoy the evening.
Play table games…
